Let’s do some programming over half term! Feb 15th -19th.
Every morning I’ll send an email with a different set of introductory Python activities starting from absolute scratch.
For experienced Python people here will be extra activities so nobody is left out.
Q: Where do I type my code?
A: Here: interactive Python
Q: Can I try it out?
A: Sure! Click the link above and make your own profile pic! (You’ll have to take screen shot)
Q: What is Python?
A: It’s one of the most popular programming languages in the world. Python is a great introductory language becuase of its relatively clear layout, but it’s amazingly powerful, too. If you’re interested in computer graphics, AI, web development or physics Python has something great to offer.
Q: Why Should I Learn Python?
A: Because it’s fun! And the previous answer doesn’t have you intrigued?!
Also I’ll be including python activities into a lot of my posts on this newsletter so it’s a great opportunity to pick up the basics and then keep refreshing them from time to time.
One of my students once wrote a python program to do his maths homework quadratic equations IIRC. Just a thought…
Q: Is it for paid subscribers?
A: The Monday 15th post will be public, the rest will be for paid subscribers. That way you can tune in on Monday to see if you like it.
